Biohazard Biography - Exploding onto the Scene

After forming around core duo Danny Schuler and Evan Seinfeld in 1987, the group decided announce their arrival with a publicity stunt - and promptly wrote a slew of controversial lyrics in an attempt to turn heads. Although a risky tactic, it paid off when they scored a deal with Maze Records to put out their self-titled debut LP, before moving to the respected Roadrunner Records for their sophomore effort Urban Discipline. Selling over 1,000,000 copies it catapulted them to alternative rock fame and led to successful tours with the likes of House of Pain and Sick of it All. Stepping up another level for their third album State of the World Address in 1994, they signed with Warner Bros and introduced themselves to UK crowds with a spot at the Monsters of Rock festival in Donington, the precursor to today's Download event.

In the years since, big festival spots and massive tours have become a staple for the band - as have line-up changes, with Seinfeld the most high-profile departure in 2011. Still wowing fans and critics with their adept punk-rap fusion tunes on 2012's Reborn in Defiance, they're a must-see live proposition.
