From London to Cadiz to Bolivia

Born and raised in London, Blanco White is the pseudonym of Josh Edwards, a singer-songwriter who began his musical career in 2014. Inspired by his nine months living in the Spanish city of Cadiz, where he studied the guitar under the tutelage of esteemed musician Nono Garcia, and his experiences of playing the charango in Bolivia, White started to develop a sound which would cross both genres and international boundaries. He first showcased his melting pot of Andalusian, Latin American and British sounds on the 2016 self-produced EP "The Wind Rose" and a year later teamed up with Bear's Den and Daughter producer Ian Grimble for the critically-acclaimed follow-up, "Colder Heavens". White released his third EP through Yucatan Records, "Nocturne", in 2018, by which point he'd racked up more than 40 million Spotify streams. Accompanied by a four-piece backing band which has previously included fellow singer-songwriter Malena Zavala, Blanco White is capable of transporting audiences in any venue to the streets of Andalusia with his flamenco-tinged sound.
