Hannover 96 Tickets
Hannover 96: The Sky is the Limit
Hannover 96 was founded in 1896 in Hannover, Lower Saxony. Although its early focus tended towards athletics and rugby, football would replace both as the club's primary interest in 1899. With a team of hungry youngsters eager to make their mark on Germany's first division, now is the time to join the hunt! Hannover 96 tickets are available now for purchase or sale via StubHub.
A Brief History of Hannover 96
The early history of Hannoverscher Fussball-Club 1896 was dominated by several mergers until 1913, when it settled as Hannover 96. The pre-WWII years saw the club win its first German title with a victory over FC Schalke 04 in 1938, which is still considered one of the biggest upsets in German football history. In 1945, after the war, the club was re-established and went on to register another title in 1954. It would spend a decade in the Bundesliga before being relegated in 1975. Despite this setback, 1992 provided something of a treat for H96 fans when the team registered a string of wins over first division Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen en route to the DFB-Pokal championship. Goalkeeper Jorg Sievers shone brightly and became an instant club legend. Other club notables include the late Robert Enke and all time goalscorer Dieter Schatzschneider (135 goals). Join H96 fans and spectators and witness the birth of new heroes. Hannover 96 tickets are ready now to buy or sell via StubHub.
H96: From Tragedy to Redemption
The 2002-03 season welcomed Hannover 96 back into the top flight and it would remain there for the next several years. The remainder of the decade would be spent occupying the middle tier of the Bundesliga, as injuries to key players at critical stages of several campaigns thwarted what could have been memorable seasons for the club. The sudden death of popular first team goalkeeper Robert Enke in 2009 was a heart-breaking loss felt around the league and across the continent. Redemption would be found a few years later when the 2012-13 team would advance to the quarterfinals of the Europa League losing to eventual champions Atletico Madrid. Throughout its colourful history, Hannover 96 has seen it all: success, drought, relegation, tragedy and redemption. It is a club that endures in spite of such challenges and obstacles, increasing the admiration and respect of its faithful fans. Join them at the AWD-Arena.
