The musical duo is very busy on tour and has multiple concerts per week in cities across Europe. Beginning their tour in Rees, Germany, at the Haldern Pop Festival, Kiasmos then continues through multiple countries, including Austria and the United Kingdom, until they finish their circuit in Dublin, Ireland. The band not only takes on headliner tours, but also has upcoming appearances at many different smaller venues, too. This tour style ensures that all fans with Kiasmos tickets will have their ideal experience and that the performances themselves will always be lively and organic.

Trivia

The duo met while Rasmussen was acting as sound engineer on Arnald's project. In addition to their easily recognisable musical talent, the band has also won their share of critical acclaim and awards. For instance, Olafur Arnalds has received a prestigious BAFTA award for the minimalist compositions he has made for the piano.

Band/Singer

The duo is made up of the perfect mix of musical talent and sound design, building upon the strengths of both members. Olafur Arnalds brings to the table years of minimalist composing experience with various instruments, from piano and strings to synthetic sounds. Janus Rasmussen, the other half of the band, has an extensive knowledge of sound engineering and aural design. In addition to his work with Kiasmos, Arnalds served as the drummer for the metal band, Celestine.

Breakthrough

Arnold and Rasmussen eventually crossed paths when Rasmussen was serving as the sound engineer on one of Arnalds' projects. Almost immediately, the two bonded over their similar musical interests. Soon, the duo began releasing tracks and playing odd shows, but they did not really become popular until the release of their first full length album, "Kiasmos." It was received well by critics and, since then, the group has continued to experiment with new sounds.

Hit Albums

Kiasmos has a sound that has been evolving over the years. As each members' musical preference changes, and as they learn new techniques and experiment with new sounds, each Kiasmos album offers something new and exciting. Beginning with various single track releases, Kiasmos made their first EP, "Thrown EP," in 2012. However, the group did not create their first full-length album until 2014 with the release of their critically-acclaimed self-titled album. More recently, the duo has released another EP, "Looped," and are currently continuing to work on writing more music while on their tour.

Show Experience

A Kiasmos show is eclectic and extremely musical. The group is less concerned with trying to reach pop charts, and more interested in attempting to create something musical and new. As a result, their performances are centred around the art, energy and originality of their minimalist compositions. Due to their electronic sound and minimalist approach, a Kiasmos concert can become trance-like, bringing the audience's focus directly to the music.
