Paddy McGuinness Biography - Stand Up Comedian, Actor and Host

Born in Lancashire to Irish parents, the comedian first made his television debut in 1997 as a contestant on the show God's Gift. By 2000 he had started working with old school friend Peter Kay and appeared in That Peter Kay Thing, a series of six spoof documentaries held around Bolton. The partnership continued and led to successful series like Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere.

2007 saw his breakthrough in presenting, as Paddy became the face of TV dating show Take Me Out, which has since gone on to great success. His stand-up status has also skyrocketed since his first show The Dark Side tour over a decade ago. Inspired by the birth of his twins in 2013, the comedian conceived the Daddy McGuinness tour, kicking off in September, which promises to be a hilarious telling of all the trials and tribulations fatherhood has brought.
