Broad Street Bullies

Not long after the team was founded in 1967, the Flyers achieved the ultimate success by winning the Stanley Cup against the Boston Bruins in 1974. They did so in an emphatic fashion, earning the nickname Broad Street Bullies for their distinctive physical style of play.
