Conceived in 1966, it took two years after the untimely death of founding member Adge Cutler in 1974 for the West Country band to hit upon gold with their smash-hit 'The Combine Harvester', a parody of Melanie's 'Brand New Key' championed by Noel Edmonds. Success quickly followed with a number of follow-up hits including 'Farmer Bill's Cowman', a world tour and two sell-out nationwide tours.

Forty years on from their founding, Wurzelmania is still going strong.
