Young The Giant Tickets
Young The Giant, intelligent alternative music from California
Young The Giant have made a huge name for themselves in the indie rock arena, drawing comparisons to Muse and The Cure on their way to becoming an Alternative chart-topping band. Their guitar-driven rock sound has won them fans across the world, and they combine a high energy show with excellent musicianship, as you'll discover soon enough when you buy or sell Young The Giant tickets on StubHub.
Early success with a vintage indie rock sound
Young The Giant tasted success early on in their career when their first three singles all entered the US Alternative Singles chart. They'd previously made a good impression at the South By Southwest Festival, having played for a few years already under the name The Jakes. They didn't waste any time in enlisting a top producer for their first album – Joe Chiccarelli, the man behind the old-school post-punk sound that had propelled The Strokes and The Shins to worldwide fame. In search of the same kind of vintage sound, Young The Giant recorded the album as a live take, although there were plenty of edits in the mixing process, as the band has admitted. The album was an instant success, as difficult as that is to measure these days: do we look at Billboard charts, Spotify downloads, or digital sales? In any event, Amazon placed it at number 3 of the year's rock albums, and the lead track on the album, "My Body", reached the number five spot on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. Consequently, Young The Giant tickets began to sell out fast, and the band soon developed a very slick live show.
Other indie bands and artists are fans
Young The Giant continued to receive massive exposure off the back of three more album releases, and chalked up some heavyweight fans like Morrissey, who declared himself an early admirer of the band. In a few short years, Young The Giant played at the MTV Music Video Awards, the Austin City Limits Music Festival, and the big one that everyone wants on their resume, Lollapalooza Festival. This was followed by a tour with one of the biggest indie rock banks in the US, the always effervescent Incubus. It's also always a measure of a band's craftsmanship when other bands are prepared to do their own takes of your music, and Young The Giant has been paid this accolade on more than one occasion, with bands like Tokyo Police Club and Two Door Cinema Club contributing to a remix album of the band's music. You shouldn't need any further encouragement to check out one of America's most interesting young indie bands – Young The Giant tickets are available on StubHub now.
