Zebrahead Tickets
Hailing from the fruitful musical lands of California, the pioneering rock band known as Zebrahead has gained a large and devoted following through almost two decades of existence. Merging a diverse and loud variety of musical styles - everything from punk and pop to ska, rap and metal - Zebrahead retains their reputation as one of the most diverse and entertaining bands on the American musical scene today. Anyone with Zebrahead tickets should look forward to seeing an energetic and unique live performance.
Schedule
You'll be able to see the band at Beatpol in Dresden, Germany, Rockpalat in Bochum, Germany, Café Central in Weinheim, Germany and Le Molotov in Marseilles, France. They'll also be playing in England at O2 Academy in Oxford and the Wedgewood Rooms in Southsea.
Trivia
One of the band's two main vocalists, Ali Tabatabaee, is a native of Iran, a survivor of Hodgkin's Disease and nearly went to the University of Chicago to attend medical school. Two members of the band recorded a song entitled "His World" for a "Sonic the Hedgehog" video game. Former Zebrahead member Justin Mauriello has a solo career and another band entitled the Darling Thieves, formerly known as I Hate Kate.
Band
Zebrahead grew out of the burgeoning California punk scene in the mid-1990s, when four musicians - Greg Bergdorf, Justin Mauriello, Ben Osmundson and Ed Udhus - teamed up to form Zebrahead. After rehearsing and performing, the band was signed to Columbia Records in 1998, where they put out their major-label debut, "Waste of Mind." The album contained the singles "Get Back," "The Real Me," "Feel This Way" and "Someday," and earned notice from the charts and the music-buying public.
Breakthrough
In 2000, Zebrahead came to the public's attention with their third record, "Playmate of the Year." With singles like "Deck the Halls (I Hate Christmas)," "Playmate of the Year" and "Now or Never," the record gained a wide audience and earned rave reviews from critics. The band followed their record up with another hit EP, "Stupid Fat Americans," in the fall of 2001.
Hit Albums
In addition to their popular first albums, the band put out the hard-rocking fan favourite album "MFZB" in 2003, which had the singles "Into You" and "Rescue Me." The follow-up album, "Waste of MFZB," was released in 2004. In 2006, the band reformed to record the album "Broadcast to the World," earning some of their best reviews to date and featuring the single "Karma Flavored Whiskey." They followed that record up with the album "Phoenix" in 2008 and "Panty Raid" in 2009 - a cover album consisting entirely of songs from female artists. Their most recent album is "The Early Years - Revisited," a re-recording of early hits, which was released in 2015.
Show Experience
There are few live more bands more energetically entertaining than Zebrahead. With a raucous, pop-punk sound that attracts fans of all kinds, don't be surprised if the show breaks out into a full-on, mosh-pit like party that envelops all concert-goers with headbanging fun.
